Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ’s love through service in Appalachia. Since our founding more than 50 years ago, we have been committed to improving the lives of Appalachian children, families and seniors who are struggling to escape poverty. CAP has grown to touch the lives of more than 1 million people each year.

Appalachia has been a region of intense and growing poverty for far too long. Isolation, lack of educational opportunities, ever-diminishing job prospects, and the destructive effects of daily hunger hold hardworking families down. These children, their families, and seniors suffer in unimaginable living conditions. You are the answer. You can help provide tangible solutions to American families suffering in need. Your compassion will deliver nutritious food, clothing, home repair, elderly services, and other essentials.

The work of Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is made possible by the charitable contributions and financial support of individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, annuitants, volunteers and AmeriCorps members, and friends. The compassion of donors, the service of volunteers and members, and the partnership of churches, businesses, and other organizations are the driving force behind CAP’s efforts in Eastern Kentucky.
