Mon parcours templier
Je vis dans l'État de l'Idaho et mon voyage a commencé vers 2015 alors que mon intérêt pour les Templiers grandissait à mesure que j'appréciais l'histoire et beaucoup de choses sur cette période. J'ai collecté divers objets de cette période (armures, boucliers, épées, ainsi que des vêtements). J'ai aussi senti le besoin de servir grandir en moi et je voulais trouver un Ordre.
Après avoir regardé autour de moi, je suis tombé sur une organisation internationale et je l'ai rejointe en 2016 et je suis devenu Sir Knight et j'ai servi dans cet Ordre de 2016 à 2018. Mais cet Ordre ne répondait pas au besoin de fraternité ou de fraternité et ne faisait pas grand-chose aux États-Unis. J'ai donc commencé à chercher un autre Ordre, ce qui m'a conduit à OSMTJ-USA, qui signifie « Ordre Souverain et Militaire du Temple de Jérusalem » en Français. Cet Ordre offrait beaucoup dans ce que je recherchais, alors je me suis joint en décembre 2018 et j'ai amené de nombreux autres membres avec moi, faisant ainsi une nouvelle maison avec OSMTJ-USA.
J'ai été fait chevalier au grade de chevalier commandeur le 29 juin 2019 lors du conclave annuel à Canaan, CT, et le 28 juillet 2019, le prieuré Du roi David a été formé. Les États de l'Idaho, du Nevada et de l'Arizona constituent le prieuré Du Roi David. Beaucoup de travail a été consacré à la création du nouveau prieuré et j'ai été promu commandant en chef à ce moment-là. Après avoir satisfait aux exigences de diriger un prieuré pendant un an, j'ai été promu au nouveau rang de prieur le 1er juillet 2020.
Une partie de moi au service de l'Ordre a été dans le recrutement et la promotion de l'Ordre sur les médias sociaux. Ce fut une bénédiction de voir des membres que j'ai aidés à rejoindre l'Ordre de partout au pays et grandir au sein de l'Ordre. Ce fut également une grande joie de faire une sensibilisation du public lors d'une foire locale en septembre 2019 avec ma femme et membre Lady Renee Nordio. Ce fut un honneur pour nous deux de servir ensemble dans l'Ordre. En 2022, l'Ordre est devenu GPMTJ (Grand Prieuré de l'Armée du Temple de Jérusalem), je suis devenu membre de l'équipe Graphique et Vidéo de l'Ordre. Le 26 mars 2022, j'ai été nommé au poste de directeur national de la vidéo.
Au cours de mon séjour au GPMTJ, j'ai rencontré de nombreux membres merveilleux de tout le pays, au service de notre Seigneur et de l'Ordre, unis dans la fraternité. Le 25 juin 2022, mon parcours templier a changé et a déplacé mon prieuré à l'OMSDT (Ordre militaire suprême des Templiers) et a assumé le rôle de grand sénéchal. J'ai été Grand Sénéchal du 25 juin au 20 septembre 2022, date à laquelle j'ai eu l'honneur de devenir Grand Prieur de l'Ordre le 20 septembre 2022.
Je suis humble et c'est un honneur de servir en tant que Grand Prieur. Je ferai de mon mieux pour servir cet Ordre et Dieu. J'embrasse l'esprit templier et honorerai également l'histoire des Templiers. Je crois que cet Ordre est plus aligné avec ma vision et mes objectifs de mieux servir Dieu et d'honorer notre histoire templière.
Je suis ravi de faire partie de la croissance de cet Ordre, alors que nous servons le Seigneur dans l'esprit templier.

On July 114th 2024 Grand Master Rick Trujillo presented Grand Prior Derek Nordio with the OMSDT Silver Star award.
On November 14th 2024 Grand Master Rick Trujillo presented Grand Prior Derek Nordio with the OMSDT Merit Award at Loretto Chapel, during our National Conclave held in Sant Fa, NM

In July 2019, the initial days of officially forming the Priory began with a phone conversation between the man who served as Grand Prior at the time, and Derek Nordio, who had the rank of Knight Commander at that time, to discuss the formation of the new Priory. The Grand Prior asked Knight Commander who, aside from Jesus, was his favorite person in the Bible.
Knight Commander Derek responded with the name King David. The Grand Prior then asked him why. Knight Commander Derek explained that he thought many people, both men and women, could relate to David, since believers are all a little like David, in that David sinned against God, while even having a true love for God in his heart.This was obviously an answer that was met with pleasure from the Grand Prior because as soon as Knight Commander Derek finished speaking about King David, the Grand Prior suggested that King David would be a fine name for the new Priory
From the Grand Prior's questioning, Knight Commander Derek had no idea that he was actually helping him to create a name for the Priory. The Grand Prior asked him if he would actually like that name for a Priory and he happily agreed.
After finalizing more details for the formation of the new Priory, the next day, the Grand Prior promoted Knight Commander Derek to the rank of Master Commander, to lead the newly formed King David Priory. Master Commander Derek, after meeting the requirement of leading a Priory as a Master Commander for one year, was promoted to the new rank of Prior July 1, 2020.
In June 2022, after establishing the Priory with OMSDT, Grand Master Trujillo asked Prior Derek if he would accept the office of Grand Seneschal of the Order, which he did. And, in September 2022, Prior Derek was honored to accept the position of Grand Prior of the OMSDT Order.
In June 2024, Grand Prior Derek's wife, Renee' Nordio, was appointed as the Prior for the King David Priory. She has years of leadership experience and being in Templar Orders. Before being appointed Prior, she previously served as the Priory's Marshal, handling all the personnel and paperwork for the Priory. From May 2023 through May 2024 she served as Master Commander leading the OMSDT Priory of St. Michael the Archangel and since July 2022 serves as Grand Secretary for OMSDT Knights Templar.
